Of the 100,000 artifacts at the American Airpower Heritage Museum, 33 are precious original nose art panels that represent the artistic expressions of young men at war. Young men who as a combat crew on a World War II bomber, lived through battle together, survived together or went down together. Together they rallied around their airplane and their nose art ~ a colorful expression of esprit de corps during difficult times.
